I am a Partner and Head of the International Private Wealth team at Bolt Burdon, where I advise UHNW and HNW individuals, globally mobile families, and international estates on UK tax exposure, trusts, and estate planning. My practice focuses on cross-border structuring and succession planning, particularly for clients with complex, multi-jurisdictional assets.
In light of the sweeping changes to the non-domiciled tax regime from April 2025, I provide strategic guidance on the new Foreign Income and Gains (FIG) and Long-Term Resident (LTR) regimes, helping clients make informed decisions as the UK tax landscape continues to evolve. I also specialise in pre-immigration and emigration planning and regularly advise on the intersection of UK and international tax rules.
My work includes advising US/UK mixed-nationality couples on the structuring of their wills and succession plans to address exposure to both UK inheritance tax and US estate tax. As well as pre-immigration UK advice for US clients.
As a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), I am committed to delivering clear, practical advice with a warm and empathetic approach. I believe in cutting through complexity to provide clients with confidence, clarity, and control over their affairs.
I am an experienced Private Client Partner who leads the Private Wealth Team. I qualified in 2007 and I have practised in the field of Private Client ever since, helping thousands of clients. I act on behalf of executors, administrators, trustees, attorneys and individuals seeking to plan their lifetime affairs, with particular emphasis on complex estate administration matters. I have experience in being appointed an Independent Administrator where I am appointed to deal with complex and often fractious estates, leading on high net worth estates including multi-jurisdictional assets and estates that include domicile issues. I enjoy coordinating with a team of professional advisers for both estate planning and estate administration to ensure all of our client’s needs are fulfilled.
I am a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Private Client Section of the Law Society. I am also the Regional Director for the London Regional Group of Association of Lifetime Lawyers (ALL). Much of the work that I do for clients is done at a time of great stress and disruption. It is vital that matters are handled efficiently and with empathy. I enjoy being able to build a strong relationship with my clients, from those that are younger and who may have just started a family to those in their later years who want to ensure their assets are protected or are in need of assistance due to mental incapacity.
